One beautiful warm day the children and educators decided to fill the water pump and engage in an exciting water experience. But before embarking on the fun the educators explained the rules around safe water play, all in the agreement they dashed off to see who could make the biggest splash.
Through water and mud play, children develop a sense of self and belonging of their place in the world around them. In addition to having spectacular fun, water and mud play supports children’s physical development, both their large motor skills as they learn to jump, slip and slide, fine motor skills as they manipulate the mud.
