Over the past month we have been discussing the importance of wearing helmets while riding our bikes and scooters, making sure we look and listen for traffic or dangers while we are riding them.
The educators and children discussed why it is important to wear a helmet? The children gave lots of responses and they all knew it was to protect our heads. The children said they wear helmets at home, so we talked about wearing them while they are at Sonas too.
The children were so excited to wear the new helmets and took turns riding the bikes around our bike track, while looking out for any dangers.
