The children have recently started to explore the garbage systems after reading a story at mat time.
We created a sensory tray filled with images of different things to be sorted into all the different buckets.
We had a recycling bucket, rubbish bucket and a greens waste bucket.
We then used our fine motor skills to pick all the items up with tweezers before sorting them into the correct bin systems.
We then read a book about caring for our ocean and the damage rubbish does. So, we created a sensory tray to resemble the ocean and we again removed all the rubbish and disposed of it accordingly.
