Today during quiet time, I found a container of small Lego for the older children to enjoy.

Everyone was super excited to play with something new, and all have requested we have quiet time Lego sessions every day.

Some used the Lego cards to build a design, while others built freely. We spoke about how to make the designs on the page by first finding all the pieces we need and then following the instructions.

We counted out the pieces we needed and matched their colour and size. The children particularly liked making the person design and the ‘silly duck.’

Lego is great for emotional regulation and fine motor while the children play independently and also work together to help each other.
