Sonas Woodbridge – How Plants Drink Water Experiment

At Sonas this week, the children took part in an experiment to see how plants take up water and drink.

Children were curious to know what would happen. Educator encouraged the children to fill the jars with water using their pouring skills, which they have mastered at meal services where children pour their own drinks.

Then children (with the educator’s assistance) put different food colour dyes into the water in the jars. Then children put celery stems in each jar.

Children are excited to see how plants drink water. Jars were put on aside and will be monitoring the changes to see how the plants drink and take up water.
