At Sonas all children participate in the Safe 4 Kids Program.
This program is designed to educate and aims to empower children to help ensure their safety.
Safe 4 Kids also informs and inspires assertiveness and provides educators and parents with tools and skills to help keep their children safe.
Safe 4 Kids not only covers child abuse, but it’s also a life skills program that teaches children to be persistent, assertive and helps build resilience in children, which can be carried over to adolescents.
Some of the modules children participate in include Public and Private, Saying “No” (Assertiveness) Personal Space and Consent.
Sign Language is also used as part of the program to ensure all children can participate and have a voice.
