I have been working in the childcare industry for over 20 years and have successfully completed my Diploma in Social Science (Childcare 0-12 years) as well as the Advanced Diploma of Children’s Services.
I have lived in the Huntingdale and Thornlie area for 20 years, moving to Western Australia from Tasmania. During this time, my husband and I have had 2 children, watched them grow up into young teenagers and become involved in many sporting organisations along the way.
Children have always been an inspiration in my life from watching my own family grow to those that I have come to know through years of service.
I believe it is important for young children to be given ample opportunity in a loving, nurturing and secure environment enabling children to feel safe and secure whilst being becoming competent learners.
This is obtained by providing environments and experiences that will enhance play, exploration, questioning and challenging one’s self. With such opportunities being available, children will aspire to great things in life and this will teach them to take risks and believe in themselves.
During my years of service, I have had the opportunity to see many children grow and develop into fine young adults, some even starting their own families and I have had the opportunity to raise their children.
It is always a delight to see “my kids” out in public and reflect on the good times we have had shared.
I have also established some really close friendships with families and still to this day they are my close to me personally.
I hope that I will continue to impact on families in the area and see your children grow and hope to meet you in the very near future.
