This afternoon, we have set up a box-painting experience where the children can paint the boxes as they desire.
Alternatively, they can paint the paper roll provided that protects the pavement. We have provided reusable cardboard boxes, paper rolls, long, medium, and short-handled paintbrushes, squirters, primary-coloured paints, as well as mixing jugs and mixing cups for the children to experiment with creating other colours.
The children seemed eager to commence painting and seemed happy to create their own paint colours. I observed the children communicating with one another, working together, and delegating tasks.
This experience focuses on developing the children’s creativity, colour recognition, and theory, as well as fine motor strength and development.
