This afternoon, the children engaged in a new sensory tray.

We filled the tray with flour and some oil to create a soft sand-like substance that the children could mold and play with. This kept the children busy for a long time, as they enjoyed playing with it and feeling the texture of it between their fingers.

We spoke about the 5 senses, using different words to describe how it felt, looked like, and smelt.

A few children even enjoyed tasting it. The children even continued to play with the flour that had spilled on the floor once the tray was packed away.
