We sometimes forget just how much knowledge our children absorb of the world in which they live in. Prime example is Anzac Day. We touched on the men and women who have taken care of our country and sacrifices made, which then lead to a discussion on why we celebrate it and how we can thank the people of our community. We decided that we would create a wreath of appreciation using flowers from our very own garden, making paper flowers and painted flowers with each child placing a flower around the wreath. We also made the traditional Anzac biscuit, they were very tasty.
