This fortnight one of our objectives was child engages in pro-social and cooperative behaviour with adults.
This was extended on through building a small world zoo. We first began by asking the children what we might find at a zoo. This got the children thinking and beginning to brainstorm together, resulting in using building blocks to make the outside walls of the zoo then we got all of the animals and put them inside and started to make different enclosures for the animals and a viewing area for the people to see all the animals.
Everyone who participated was able to collaborate on making different parts of the zoo working together and coming to the educators with ideas for what they wanted to make or proudly showing off what they had built.
