This week at Sonas Ashby the children have been exploring their creativity through painting and play dough experiences.

The children were using fine motor skills and hand eye coordination to manipulate the playdough and to paint.

The playdough the children made was green “like grass”, while creating the playdough mixture the children had the opportunity to actively engage by pouring, measuring, stirring, and missing the playdough giving the children a sense of agency.

During our painting experience the children created their interpretation of the indigenous symbols, we spoke about what each symbol represented.
