The children joined me in the Zen Room in the afternoon.
One child asked if she could get something to do out of the resource room. She had a look with her friend, and together, they chose to get out the shape safari hunt.
We went on the hunt with our cameras, spotting shapes in the safari among the different animals.
During the activity, the children were able to identify the circle, square, and rectangle, and they were able to match all of the shapes correctly. One peer also provided support to her friend when they were a little unsure of the names of the shapes.
