Objective: Child adjusts reach and grasp to use tools.
The children played with the plastic stacking cups today to work on their hand grasp and problem-solving skills.
The children all found their own ways to stack the cups and had to find what ways were easiest to hold the cups that allowed them to manipulate them to be able to stack them successfully.
This activity required problem-solving skills and for the children to be patient and persistent with the task.
The younger children explored the cups, exploring the cause and effect of hanging them together and listening to the noises they made.
