The children at Atwell enjoyed a nature hunt with educator Holly, looking for bugs, at the different plants in the garden and picking up anything that interested them.
The children found an ant and also a spider on their hunt!
All the children were really invested in this and did a great job looking for everything.
Once the children had finished looking around the yard, they gathered together to look at everything they had all found. The children then realised everything they found was so colourful, so they worked with educator Holly to sort it into the colours of the rainbow.
They sorted it one colour at a time giving the children an opportunity to recognise and sort colours. Once they finished sorting everything, they realised they had found every colour of the rainbow.
