“Flowers for sale, flowers for sale!” called the children from Sonas Atwell, encouraging their peers to their pretend flower shop named “The Padma Shop”, a name derived from our Bollywood dance experience that takes place every Monday at 1:30pm.
Our flower shop was alive with laughter, filled with blooming flowers that awaited careful inspection from their potential customers. The children demonstrated immense kindness towards each other during the sales process and used loving hands when they wrapped each delicate flower.
The social/dramatic role play provided pertinent opportunities to learn essential mathematics and literacy skills, all while having fun. Watch this space to see what we are up to next week!
