A small group of us got together and made paper doll chains. We sat together, drawing and colouring talking about our different safe people and how they help us, before we folded and then cut them out.

Some children named their pets as one of their safe people as cuddles with them makes them feel safe.

Analysis of Learning: The children built on their motor skills as they cut out the paper doll chains; they also built on their language development as they discussed the people; they chose to represent the children’s chosen safe people.

Evaluation: The children enjoyed sitting down and engaging in conversation with peers and educators.
