The children of Sonas Bayswater have enjoyed a fun, messy, and muddy farm environment set up with farm animals.

It had hay for the horses, mud for the pigs, grass for the cows and sheep, and I added some trees as well. They had a wonderful time getting all muddy, exploring the similarities and differences between the animals, and noticing and responding to the different textures in the tray.

The children have used their senses to see, hear, touch, feel, and sometimes even taste (the hay) the natural materials in front of them.

This activity is encouraging the children to use their senses to explore and respond to their world, engaging their critical thinking skills, further developing hand-eye coordination, and learning about nature and the natural world.
