As an extension from the previous activity of reading the story on “The Rainbow Serpent”, this week being the National Reconciliation week, the children explored some colours by doing dot painting using cotton buds on the Rainbow Serpent drawing.
Children were able to choose the colours they wanted and either used the cotton buds to do the dots or mixing the colours.
Objective: During this activity, the children were able to name the colours they were using and engaged in using their pincer grip to hold the cotton buds. Children responded to diversity with respect. Children used their imagination and creativity skills to explore ideas and theories
