This morning, we have set up a chia seed goop experience where the children can engage in imaginary role play using the truck vehicles and bark provided.
The children seemed fascinated by their sense of touch as they described the feeling of the goop in their hands.
We used descriptive words such as cold, wet, slimy, bumpy, and sticky. Some children were initially scared to touch it, but were able to overcome their fear and try a new experience.
This experience focuses on developing the children’s sense of touch.
