Today at Sonas Coolbellup we acknowledged and celebrated World Tree Day.
The experience was planned on the deck area in our garden amongst the trees. The educators setup some art easel on the decking looking out to all the large tress on the nature strip.
We spoke about the importance of the trees and what role they play in our world. We were also talking about the parts of the tree roots, leaves etc. We made the tree with some paint and some real leaves sticking each part on the paper.
The children displayed great interest during the experience. They all participated with great enthusiasm. The children enhanced their fine motor skills along with social and language skills.
