Sonas Gosnells – Embedding Routine Experiences

Why do you make playdough every day?

Well in conjunction with regular cooking experiences making play dough builds and develops many of our culinary skills for life such as:

Measuring – introduces and develops mathematical concepts.
Mixing – enhances hand dexterity and fine motor development.
Adding colour – adding and mixing colours develops sound understanding.
Wet and dry ingredients  – allows children to learn through their senses.
Working with ovens – builds patience while extending on knowledge of “hot”.
Working in small groups – develops vital social skills for community engagement.
