Sonas Gosnells – Out in the Community

The children at our childcare centre recently had the exciting opportunity to go on a train ride, taking advantage of our centre’s unique location on the train line.

This experience not only sparked curiosity and joy but also strengthened our connection to the local community, helping children develop a sense of belonging and awareness of their surroundings. Engaging with the wider community supports early childhood development by encouraging social interaction, observation skills, and real-world learning experiences.

This aligns closely with the National Quality Standards, particularly Quality Area 1 (Educational Program and Practice) and Quality Area 6 (Collaborative Partnerships with Families and Communities), by fostering meaningful experiences that enrich children’s learning and promote strong community connections from an early age.
