We learn so much through dramatic play. It helps us explore language, the concept of pretend (reality vs fantasy) and to develop social skills and emotional regulation.
Recently with the hot weather, we had a Sonas ice cream parlour which was so much fun that we decided to try a pizza store!
We made almost all the props ourselves from the pizzas through to the pizza oven. It gave us an opportunity to talk about nutrition and our favourite pizza toppings and practice a whole heap of skills such as independently cutting up paper, pipe cleaners and wool.
