Diwali is a special time celebrating lightness overcoming darkness. We have loved learning from a special family within our centre who were happy to share their culture with us. Our children loved engaging in dancing, art activities and learning about the culture that was demonstrated to us from a special visitor.
Our children had some questions for them, for example, “Why is the light important?” We found out the light is important as it is celebration that the light won over darkness. Our wonderful educators Pushpah and Vannii shared how they celebrated Diwali through lighting lamps, dancing and sharing food.
Our minds are growing with knowledge and it is so exciting to learn new things.
