This week, we have been celebrating Diwali Week-Festival of Lights.
One of our amazing Nest educators brought in traditional Indian clothing for the children to dress up in and learn about the culture. We were also lucky enough to have our educator perform a traditional Indian dance performance for the children.
Some of the children took part in learning the customs and steps and joined in. We also made lanterns and created a rangoli on the floor to represent happiness and positivity that we channel into our life, and the lives around us.
This week has been such an eye-opening experience to learn about the different cultural events and beliefs from around the world and its importance.
