The children this week have been looking at the story The Hungry Caterpillar.
We first read the story about The Hungry Caterpillar and all the food he has been eating. We found that after he ate so much food, he went to sleep in a cocoon, and when he woke, he was a beautiful butterfly.
Then, on our tough tray, we recreated the story using some felt pieces and some hungry caterpillars. We all counted what the caterpillar ate.
Analysis of Learning: Cognitive and Language Development Following a narrative and reacting to the story using felt props. Listening and understanding the story.
Evaluation/Reflection: All children worked together to recreate the story. Great use of respect, communication, and cooperation with all the children. This was a really fun and successful activity.
