This week we explored Counting.
The children are beginning to recognise number theory in the environment and understand that they may represent a variety of meanings. They are achieving this through the use of different coloured objects, adding more/less to represent the number scale to lead into early counting.
Learning objectives:
1.) Use mathematical words to describe the world, like ‘lots of’, ‘more than’
2.) Begin to count objects in a sequence and recognise the way numbers work
3.) Counting objects and understanding how the numbers combine and connect to describe the world and help children to make meaning.
