Sensory play is a great way of enhancing children’s fine motor skills and sense of touch.

This week, we set up a sensory tray with dyed rice in our outdoor environment for all our children to explore. As a group, the children build up on their sense of belonging by working with each other, questioning and exploring the materials and taking turns in using the different utensils.

Our educators also added spoons, cups and measuring cups into the activity to practice the children’s hand-eye coordination.

What a fun way of learning so many things in one activity.
