This week we have been focusing on our sense of smell, touch, and sight.

We have set up sensory trays for our children to explore and combine different topics that relate to them and their daily routines.

All our children are always super excited when they see our sensory tray set up with something new. Everyone runs towards it and can’t wait to start feeling the different textures through their hands and observe it changing.

Through sensory experiences the children enhance their sense of smell, touch and sight but also extend their hand-eye coordination.

In group experiences like these, children use their non-verbal and verbal communication skills to interact with each other as well as practising their turn taking.
