Over the past few weeks, our school-aged children have participated in a range of engaging and meaningful excursions within the local community.
These experiences have provided opportunities for children to explore, connect, and build a strong sense of belonging beyond the service environment.
Children enjoyed visits to the movies, water parks, local parks, and a shared fish and chips outing in Fremantle. They also visited our sister service, The Schoolies House in Huntingdale, where they engaged in age-appropriate play-based experiences alongside peers.
These visits supported the continuation and strengthening of friendships as children reconnected with peers from our sister centres throughout the school holiday period.
Through these community-based experiences, children developed confidence, social skills, and an understanding of their local community, aligning with the principles of My Time, Our Place v2.0, which emphasises connectedness, wellbeing, and collaborative relationships.
