Sonas Spearwood – Pre-Kindy Literacy: Exploring Vocabulary through Fruit and Vegetable Stamping 

This week during the Pre-Kindy  session the children delved into vocabulary development through a creative fruit and vegetable stamping activity.

Using a variety of produce, including potatoes, corn, celery, onions, corn husks, and carrots, they explored making colorful patterns with paints in shades of blue, pastel pink, yellow, green, and orange.

Throughout the week, the children practiced labelling each fruit and vegetable while learning about their names and functions.

This hands-on experience not only sparked their creativity but also strengthened their language skills as they described the unique shapes and textures they stamped.
