Today our younger children enjoyed caring for the dolls through gentle, hands-on play.
They held the dolls close, pushed them in prams, offered bottles and gave lots of cuddles. With educator support, the children explored simple caring actions such as feeding, rocking and settling the dolls to sleep.
This experience encouraged nurturing behaviour, early empathy and a sense of security as the children practised caring in a calm and familiar way.
