Sonas Wanneroo – Red, Yellow, Blue and Green, What Colour Can You See? 

This week we have been further developing the children’s fine motor skills of pinching movements through exploring the use of tongs.

We have set up a colour sorting activity to extend on the children’s ability to identify their colours with the underlying developmental goal of successfully manipulating the tongs, which we use everyday in our meal self-serving.

This is a skill that we have been working on with all the children in our service to build on their sense of agency with mealtimes as well as their sense of achievement to succeed in this.
