To promote sustainability, children used recycled jars to create Christmas crafts.
They painted the jars with colours representing the Christmas season, such as red, green, and white. After the paint dried, the educator assisted the children in designing and decorating the jars to complete the Christmas crafts. The finished jars will be displayed in the family studio.
Through this activity, children demonstrated control while handling brushes and applying details. And taking turns as they patiently waited to paint their jar.
This activity also introduced the concept of reusing materials creatively and creative ways to upcycle the recycled materials.
