At Sonas Woodbridge, water station was available for children to independently access drinking water.
Children approached the station throughout the session to fill their own cups or drink bottles. Some children carefully positioned their cups under the dispenser and controlled the flow of water, while others required reminders to turn taps gently or avoid overfilling.
After filling their cups or bottles, children drank independently and returned items to the designated area.
A few children observed peers before attempting the task themselves, demonstrating learning through modelling.
Children showed increasing confidence in:
1.) carrying and positioning cups or bottles
2.) turning taps or pressing dispensers
3.) judging water levels
4.) drinking independently
5.) cleaning small spills with educator support
6.) waiting and taking turns at the station.
