The children at Sonas gathered around the table outside to listen to the instructions about what our activity is going to involve.
The children were given a piece of blank paper with their name on it and were encouraged to take different pieces of nature, whether that be sticks, flowers, herbs, or leaves, and paint a picture.
The educator encouraged the children to smell the different scents each natural element gave, and the children’s faces say it all—absolutely priceless and a beautiful moment.
The educator explained to the children about the colours that we were using and explained that we could use green for the grass, herbs, and leaves, and the pink, orange, and yellow were to represent the flowers.
The children could choose whatever colour they wanted to use. Each natural element made different patterns, which the children enjoyed, and some were surprised to see the different patterns they were creating. The children had such a great time making lots of different shapes and painting with their friends.
