At Sonas, we celebrated World Environment Day.
We had a discussion regarding how we can save our earth. At Sonas, we use different ways to recycle the waste using different bins for plastic and waste.
We reuse packaging for our home corner. We encourage children to keep their surroundings clean and use the right bins to put the waste in. We encourage all our families to reuse and donate items to both the centre and charities to help reduce the waste in our environment.
Children engaged in various activities at our Play Lab. As part of Community engagement our Play Lab runs every 2nd week at our centre and the alternate week at Centrepoint Shopping Centre in Midland. All are welcome to attend and experience the fun we have.

- Messy Tray with Animals from Different Regions (geography + science)
Observation & Engagement
Fishing Game:
Children were highly engaged using plastic rods to “catch” fish from a water tray. They took turns, communicated with others (“I caught a big fish!”), and showed excitement while learning fish colours.
Ocean Messy Tray:
A tray filled with blue clay dough, shells, and toy marine animals encouraged sensory exploration. Children identified animals such as turtles, sharks, and starfish. They showed curiosity about ocean habitats.
Animals from Different Regions Tray:
This activity included desert, jungle, arctic, and savannah-themed sections using natural materials and toy animals (e.g., polar bear, elephant, camel). Children sorted animals, made animal sounds, and engaged in imaginative storytelling.
