In the past few weeks, the children have been delving into the fascinating world of silkworms that Beck brought into the classroom.
Today, Beck organised an engaging colour, cut, and glue activity that allowed the children to visually explore the life cycle of these remarkable creatures.
During the session, Beck gathered the children around and explained the different stages of a silkworm’s life. Each child was given materials to colour, and they eagerly began bringing the illustrations to life with vibrant hues. Some children required a bit of assistance with cutting out their creations, and Beck was more than happy to lend a hand, encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
Once all the pieces were cut out, the children glued them down onto a large poster, creating a visual representation of the silkworm life cycle. Throughout the process, they discussed the various changes that silkworms undergo, sharing their thoughts and observations as a group.
This collaborative effort not only fostered their creativity but also deepened their understanding of the topic, allowing each child to contribute to the final project.
It was a wonderful experience that highlighted the importance of exploration and teamwork in learning.
