How does the school pickup bus work?
Parents drop off at school in the morning as usual. At the end of the school day, our Sonas bus collects your child from their school and brings them safely to our centre for after school care. There's no charge — it's included in your OSHC booking. The bus runs from school to Sonas, not from home to centre.
Which schools do you pick up from?
We pick up from local schools within reasonable distance of each Sonas centre. The exact list of schools depends on which centre you book with — contact your closest centre directly for current pickup schools and route timing.
What time does before school care start?
Our school-age centres open at 6:30am for before school care. Your child can have breakfast, settle in, and play before being walked or driven to school in time for the bell.
What time does after school care end?
After school care runs until 6:00pm Monday to Friday. We're open 52 weeks per year, closing only for public holidays.
Is OSHC the same as before and after school care?
Yes — OSHC stands for Outside School Hours Care, and it's the formal name for before school care, after school care, and vacation care. Sonas offers all three.
Can my child use OSHC just on certain days?
Absolutely. You can book any combination of days that works for your family — just one day a week, or all five.
Do I need to provide food?
No. We provide morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack — all prepared on-site by our cook and catering for allergies and common dietary needs. No breakfast is served.
How do I enrol in OSHC?
Book a free 30-minute tour at your closest centre — we'll walk you through the program, the bus route from your child's school, and complete enrolment together. You can also lodge an enquiry online.
