The children have been learning about their color and shape recognition. The children were provided with a variety of experiences such made shape-er-pillars after reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar, discussing the colors and shapes that they recognized throughout the book. Using squares, circles, triangles and rectangles the children created their own caterpillars.
The younger children have been focusing on colors and shape as well, learning to sort and match colors to corresponding buckets, experience color through art and blending colors. Each day offers a challenge, and with it comes success and sometimes failure, but a competent learner for the future.
