The children have been monitoring the growth of our kitchen garden on a daily basis, caring for the plants by watering them, using our home-grown compost to ensure our garden beds are healthy and making sure the beds are free of weeds. So, when it was time to remove some of our vegetables there was a buzz in the air. Once they were out, then came the true excitement and comments.

“Oh, wow, we have purple and white carrots. I’ve not tried them”, so what better way to share this experience than to provide families with the opportunity to try our home-grown vegetables. The children are very proud of their garden and even more excited about taking the carrots, parsley and spring onion home to their families.
