As the weather is starting to warm up coming into Summer, we have been talking about the importance of sun safety and what we can do to make sure we are being sun safe.
The children are learning the importance of wearing hats, putting their own hat on before we go outside.
Sun-cream is applied every two hours, by the children with support from educators, the children are learning independence and talking responsibility for their own health by applying their own sun-cream on the parts of skin that aren’t protected from the sun, the children enjoy helping educators apply sun-cream too.
We are lucky to have so many shaded areas for the children to play in and the children are aware of where to play when it is too hot.
