Today we did some sensory painting using trucks, cookie cutters, bottle caps and stamps.
Before we painted we had a conversation about how we will need to share and take turns with the paint and painting tools and if we wanted something we needed to use our manners. We also said we won’t be snatching from our friends and we will be using our inside voices. We talked about this in relation to how it will make us feel and our friends
For the whole duration of this activity all the children did so well, asking politely for a new colour paint or to swap toys with their friends. We had no arguments and everyone got a turn with everything they wanted to use.
The children enjoyed seeing the different patterns and shapes the different painting tools we used.
