The toddlers colour project continues…
We had so much messy fun, mixing the different colours, using our problem solving skills to open the different bottles, and our fine motor skills to squeeze or pump each bottle, adding colour to the bowl. While we mixed, we spoke about the colours and how the mixture changed.
We explored chemical reactions, adding bi carb soda to the bowl and then pouring vinegar to the mix to see it bubble and fizz. We scooped the foam out of the bowl and into containers, noting the texture and smell of the green foam. It was a wonderful collaborative experience, with lots of talking, hypothesizing and sharing,
