Before lunch today the children got to squeeze, push, pat and play with playdough they helped make.
The girls found a basket of animals and began pushing them into the dough leaving foot print’s from each animal. As they did this I identified the animal and the sound they made. Each time I made the sound one of our friends would make a different noise trying to repeat after me.
Children enjoyed poking in their dough with their fingers whilst other children played with small amounts in each hand.
Doing this activity encouraged children to use fine motor skills, play and interact with others and use their sensory skills once again.
