Concept 7: Persistence in Telling

This week children learnt the importance of persisting when seeking help and understanding why being persistent is a very important life skill.

The Persistence Hat Game: We gave hat to one child. The hats are a disguise to show that the child is pretending to be an adult. Some problems that we talked about today were lost at the shops, lost in a large playground, being bullied in the playground, wetting their pants, having nightmares, and Mum and Dad arguing.

The children drew pictures of when they have had to persist, or still need to persist, to learn something new; for example, learning to: ride a bike, tie their shoelaces, read, catch a ball, etc.
