Today the children have been exploring recycled yoghurt containers with exciting items hidden inside and lids on top.

We had flowers, animals, bells, and sparkly ribbons. The children sat and tried to open the containers using their fine motor skills and explored the objects hidden inside.

The objects made different sounds and had different textures; the children then used their senses to notice and respond to the items. A couple of them even engaged their creativity and used the lids to play peekaboo with.

Learning Objectives: This activity is teaching the children to use their senses to explore and respond to their world, engaging their imagination and creativity to use objects, further developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving skills, and encouraging children to engage in positive social interactions with one another.
