This afternoon, as the weather became quite warm outdoors, we decided to provide the children with a water sensory table and some 3D acrylic shapes for them to explore as they wish.

The children spent the afternoon scooping and pouring the water using the 3D shapes. We shared discussions about the names of each of the shapes we were using. I observed the children working together, helping one another, and creating their own games and imaginative role play.

This afternoon’s experience focuses on temperature regulation, practical life skills, 3D shape recognition, and sensorial exploration.
