The children have been very engaged in sensory play over the past few weeks.
In this tray, the children had an opportunity to explore with some flour and tiny pasta. The educator’s setup a tray with some whole wheat flour, mixed some oil, and some coloured pieces of pasta of different shapes.
The educators also supplied some tongs for the children to explore with the pincer grip by picking up pieces of pasta with the tong and placing them in the bowl.
Learning: Tong transfer activities are a wonderful way to develop or enhance their sensory, fine motor, pincer grip, social, sharing, coordination, and concentration through play.
